I found out I had another navicular stress fracture that would need operated on and as a runner and marathoner he knew how hard this was for me. He was very thorough explaining it while also being empathetic to what I was going through. He performed the surgery and I am now 10 weeks post op, you can barely see the scar and just found out on my latest CT scan that there is no sign of a fracture or anything out of the norm which is great news! I am on two feet, in PT twice a week and am progressing well every day. I also has a unique situation because I had to move 2 weeks after my surgery and he was great about getting me in, making me feel comfortable about my recovery even with the move AND checked in with me throughout. He is fantastic. Whether you are a runner or not, he’s absolutely who I would recommend!

Dr. Hegewald was the surgeon who repaired my left ankle dislocation and fracture after a nasty fall. Six months later I am back to hiking and biking and expect to make a full recovery. He and his team were easy to work with and answered all of my questions.

Dr Hegewald is a saint. The skill, compassion and personal care he has is amazing. Don't break your leg, but if you do, ask for him.

Dr. Hegewald was very professional. He explained all of our options and what the foot surgery would entail. He did an excellent job with a difficult operation. He showed compassion before, during and after surgery. His staff was also very kind and considerate.

This Dr. has a really good bed side manner. Figured out what the problem was and fixed it!!! He really helped me a lot .After a year of searching. I highly recommend him and his office.
